ABOUT ALI
What is beauty? Why are some things beautiful and some are not? This was a question I encountered in my adolescence, and for years, I have found myself on the path to understanding this important concept.
When I was a teenager, I would spend hours looking at family photos and feeling the beauty in them. The beauty was in my father’s virtues. Simultaneously, the same beauty manifested itself differently in my mother’s unique eyes. During those years, I accidentally came across a book called “The Republic” by Plato. Plato and Socrates gave simple signs of beauty that were compatible with what I knew of beauty.
Up until now, I have been observing beauty while simultaneously researching the words of philosophers. I started with theater, a place where all the tools and means of creating beauty were embodied together. Light, color, movement, narrative, human presence, and so on.. Then I searched for this elusive subject in other arts, a subject that “neither exists nor does not exist”.
I have created thousands of works in various mediums such as images, videos, poetry, and prose, which have enabled me to recognize beauty and bring it from the realm of ideas to the tangible world. As a modern human being, I have been working in the advertising profession since 2000, helping companies and individuals to introduce their goods in a beautiful way to their audience.
At university, I studied computer graphics and digital media to familiarize myself with new methods of creating artistic works. Alongside my creative endeavors, I have also delved into the study and research of philosophy, using it as a guide on this endless journey. Islamic philosophy was a way that gave precise signs to the land of beauty. Most Muslim philosophers have also had a hand in beauty and creating beauty in speech, poetry and story, music, architecture, and so on. I have also gradually pursued the path of Islamic philosophy at university.
What you will find on this website are artistic and research works, as well as some advertisements that I have created along this journey.
One of the Muslim sages believes that “beauty is infinite and the infinite is beautiful”. And I still consider myself a traveler on this infinite path.
